Gender Confirming and Trans Care

This specific modality is very near and dear to my heart after the struggles to find safe, comfortable, and available providers for those in my community who were seeking hair removal to prepare for their own life-saving gender confirmation surgery.

It is VERY important to start permanent hair removal as early as possible - early enough to makes sure all hairs are cleared from the surgery prep site. This can take anywhere from 10 to 18 months, depending on the area, length of treatment tolerated by the patient, and ability to keep up with treatments on a regular hair growth schedule. If this sounds confusing, don’t worry! I will help guide you through the process. Your surgeon will help us plan how much surface area needs to be fully cleared for your upcoming Vaginoplasty, Labioplasty, Phalloplasty, or other gender related surgery. In addition, some trans folks wish to remove unwanted facial or body (chest, armpit, etc.) hair.
